The passive network, from the outlet to the rack: Legrand copper cable in Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A, RJ45 connectors, patch panels and patch cords, and multimode and singlemode fibre with LC and SC panels, cassettes and cords. Legrand builds its structured cabling as one system of copper, fibre and patch panels, for offices, data rooms and high-density networks.
Racks and rack power to house it: Valrack ModuCab server cabinets, ProTek wall-mount cabinets, LINKEO floor-standing and wall cabinets, CableMax open racks, and LINKEO Data Center PDUs from basic to intelligent switched. Supplied through the authorised channel to IT infrastructure contractors, system integrators, electrical contractors and builders.
Copper and fibre carry the network from the work area to the rack, patch panels and cords connect it to the active equipment, cabinets and open racks house it, and PDUs distribute power to the equipment inside.
Four-pair twisted cable in Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A, in unshielded U/UTP, foiled F/UTP and double-shielded S/FTP versions with PVC or LSZH sheaths. LCS3 RJ45 connectors from Cat 5e to Cat 6A in UTP and STP, and LINKEO C tool-less Cat 6A keystone connectors, where the colour of the locking tab shows the category.
19-inch 1U patch panels with 24 RJ45 ports in Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A, UTP and STP, plus angled 24-port and high-density 48-port panels. LCS3 panels carry removable cassettes of six connectors, and LINKEO C panels hold in the uprights before they are screwed in, with rear cable management. Patch cords in Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A, U/UTP, F/UTP and S/FTP, including LSZH versions.
Multimode OM2, OM3 and OM4 and singlemode OS1/OS2 fibre cable, in loose-tube and tight-buffered, indoor/outdoor and corrugated steel reinforced versions with LSZH sheaths. A 1U modular fibre panel takes LC and SC duplex blocks for 6, 12 or 24 fibres, with pigtail cassettes and a coiling kit. MTP/MPO cassettes and high-density panels for pre-terminated links, and LC and SC duplex patch cords and pigtails.
Valrack ModuCab 19-inch server cabinets from 17U to 48U, 600 or 800 mm wide and 650 to 1200 mm deep, on an extruded aluminium alloy frame with load capacity tested to 1200 kg, and perforated honeycomb, glass or mesh doors. LINKEO 19-inch floor-standing cabinets with a reversible glass door, removable side and rear panels with automatic earthing, and a 400 kg loading capacity. CableMax 19-inch open racks in 42U and 45U.
ProTek 19-inch wall-mount cabinets from 2U to 15U, with a toughened glass front door on reversible hinges with a cam lock, fan provision in the top cover and cable entries at top and bottom, in side-integrated, side-openable and double-section versions. LINKEO 19-inch wall cabinets from 6U to 21U with fixed or removable side panels, and pivoting versions that swing out for access to the rear.
Rack PDUs in four types: basic, basic with a local power meter, intelligent metered and intelligent switched with remote outlet control. Zero-U vertical and 19-inch versions, high-density models, single-phase and three-phase at 16 A and 32 A with IEC 60309 input plugs, and numbered C13 and C19 outlets with a cord locking system. Intelligent PDUs come as a Base unit or with a hot-swappable Node controller.
A structured cabling link runs from the RJ45 outlet in the work area, through horizontal copper cable, to a patch panel in a cabinet at the distribution point, where patch cords connect it to the network switch. Fibre carries the backbone between floors and buildings and ends in fibre patch panels. The cabinet houses the panels and active equipment, and the PDU feeds power to everything mounted in it.
